The G3-X is built with a full off-road geometry but also with traces back to Colnago's top-of-the-line road bike, the V3Rs. The road bike DNA results in a light, fast, and racy gravel bike that handles even the long distances. View the G3-X as a fusion of the Colnago Prestige cyclocross race bike geometry and the premier carbon design of the V3Rs road bike.

The carbon fibre layup has increased thickness in strategic sections of the tubes providing a durable carbon frame specifically for demanding off-road performance. Protecting features prevents the frame from being damaged by the terrain. Taking the bike from the road and onto the gravel and trails will be a treat for the rider, as the frame reacts and adapts to the terrain. The bike is stable on even the rougher tracks.

The gravel and long-distance geometry feature a longer chainstay, lower bottom bracket and a longer top tube. The geometry provides a forward-leaning rider position and a compact, lower centred, rider position. This results in great off-road control and balance.

The frame has great tyre clearances and accepts up to 700x42 or 650bx47 sized tyres with room for mud.
